«Nowadays the interest in researches, dedicated to Cold Regions, has risen due to several facts. First of all, these territories are famous for being rich natural sources. Secondly, these regions are unique and picturesque. Thirdly, they are attractive for scientists.

Ecology is a synthetic sphere, so that is why a complex approach that means to integrate several sciences (for an ecologist they are biology, chemistry, geology, geography and soil science) to study a particular field is seen as the best way to explore it. Accordingly, from my perspective, the program CORELIS which uses the mentioned approach is the most advantageous.
